DONE!!!!!!

It's official!!! Greg is now done with snow sampling for the year! A good thing too since the snow is rapidly melting with this gorgeous spring weather. We went up big cottonwood last Saturday; yes, while all you people were down in the valley enjoying the 75 degree weather, Greg and I were trudging through the slushy, heavy, wet snow up to desolation and dog lakes to get the last two samples! Greg sampled seven different areas and now he has to run all the samples in the lab to find out how much mercury and trace metals are in our snow pack. Should be interesting to see what falls from the atmosphere and get a paper published for all his hard work. It is now time to enjoy the sun and green grass, go to a baseball game or hit the tennis courts, and.... work in the yard!

heehee, Stacy!
Way to go, Greg. I wonder what the results will be. Cool stuff, that snow ;)
Catherine's doing a report on the effects of bad weather on the tributaries leading to the Chesapeake right now. She's trying to find research on how the salt and sand wash-off effects the water quality. Any help is accepted!! We're thinking of you in this project! Cheers.
