Snow Shoeing Dec '08

Our first date Greg took me snowshoeing up Provo Canyon, since then we've made it a tradition to go every year. After a particularly good storm in December we took off on the Granduer peak trail. We had a great time and really enjoyed treking through fresh powder.

Greg and his friend Scott went snow shoeing up Bells Canyon over Christmas break. It wasn't snowing when they left... when they got back to the car it had dropped atleast 6 inches in only a few hours!

Mt. Olympus Dec. '08

So I've been reading "No shortcuts to the top" a book by Ed Viesters, the first American to climb the 14 highest peaks in the world without oxygen. It's a great motivational book both in life and with a little adventurism... climbing mountains :-) So with a free afternoon we grabbed Greg's friend Tyler and took off up the mountain. It was a vigorous workout, fairly steep the whole way, and got a little icy in the shaded area's. Overall it was way fun and a challange. My favorite part was the last 100-150 yards to the top was all scrambing up a pretty steep rock face.

Cedar City Nov. '08

Greg and I headed down to Cedar to watch some basketball, Greg's dad helps coach the SUU mens team and my friend Strat helps coach the girls at Mesa St. who played SUU. The other reason we went down was to take the xterra off road, it was looking too clean!

We took a road from cedar canyon to zion's. We saw some amazing views and parts of Kolab and Zion that niether of us had seen before.

Kolab Resivor was at the top of the canyon. From Cedar City to here was about 20 miles of dirt muddy roads, luckly they weren't to bad, but enough to make the car a little dirty!

Provo Canyon Fishing Nov. '08

Trav called and said the brown's were hot so greg and i got off work early to hit the spawn. We had a fun night and fished past dark which was a little tricky. We hit another little stream a week later. It was a beautiful day, even started snowing on us :-) But all in all its great to get outside and enjoy the beauty of it. To relax and not have to be thinking of work, school, etc.

Green River Nov '08

Green River for MOM's b-day!!!

So all my mom wanted for her b-day was a trip to the green river, below flamming gorge. We hadn't been out there all year and the weekend was going to be nice so we jumped in the car and headed out for a quick 1 day fishing trip. This is the crew... Addie, Gunner, Dad, Trav, and my mom and I aren't in the pic.

It turned out to be an absolutely amazing day. The first week of Nov and we were in tee-shirts. The fishing trio: me, Gun-man, and Trav.

I will admit that it was one of my best fishing days of my life. After about 5 years of kinda fishing, being there more for the scenery, the solitude, and the pure joy of beign there, I have finally accepted the challenge of it and fished hard all day long. It's mentally exhusting and I had never done it before, but I had fun and the results were...well...big ;-)

We landed a daily triple with Gunner catching the first, me right after, then Travis went to bring in his line to take a picture and found a rainbow on the end of it! Luckly we had our professional photographer there(Mom) to grab the pic.

We finally left the river just before dark. We celebrated mom's b-day with a match in a sloppy joe, not to creative but it's all we had :-) It was a fantastic end to a great day.

Halloween '08

Greg and I were broken athletes with Greg's sister's kid's as a caveman, pooh bear, and a cowgirl! I took it a step father and put a sign up saying "Fell off my horse!!!!" That about sums up my level of riding and about how many injuries i've gotten from it ;-)

Greg and I dressed up for the ward Party, Cowgirl and Construction man, and yes he even had the hard hat!

Disneyland!!!!! Oct. '08

DISNEYLAND!!!!!
K, so my parents are the bestest! They wanted to get the family together and decided disneyland would be the funnest, which I totally agree! We had a blast going on Indiana Jones, the matterhorn, space mountain, california screamin, CA sorin, bear river rapids, and the list goes on! Being there 3 days we got a taste of just about every ride there and some of them a few times. It was so fun to get the family together doing something other then sports and also to be in the place where... "dreams come true" :-)

Three of my favorite characters! Pluto and Beauty and the Beast, one of my favoritest disney movies of all time!

So Tower of Terror was a new one for me, and yes it was awesome! I had to go on that one a couple of times. Also, if you look closely you can see Woody and Mickey Mouse behind Addie and I!

Trav and Liz infront of Roger Rabits Crazy Ride and Jer, Stefanie and Ellia in front of California Screamin! My dad actually loved the rollar coaster, funny huh.

Bear River Rapids totally drenched us both times we went on it... actually jeremy, Stefanie, and Gunner got drenched! This was a great ride for when it was so hot that all we wanted to do was jump in a pool. Mom and Ellia in front of the matterhorn, this ride's one of the classics.

So we thought if we both tried we might get it, but it was no good! No castles for us

Events as they unfolded... It was Gunner's b-day while we were there so we threw a little party! I accidently miss-placed this cup cake in his face :) so he got revenge and chased me around the hotel till he gave me a orange face to match the halloween festivities!!!!

The family, all except my mom who's taking the picture and Jordan, still on the mission.

We hit the beach one of the days there. It was windy and actually pretty cold, but its california and we were on the beach :-) (Not that it should mean anything) So we stayed and played a little beach football and made sand castles.
