Lake Powell, Sept. '09

After Jordan got home from his mission we did a family trip out to Lake Powell with my aunt and uncle and their family. We had so much fun with everyone... good company, good food, and a beautiful place to stay with lots of sun and a nice refreshing lake to jump into at any time, can't beat that!

We took our kayaks down to play around in and practice some things. They were a hit and so much fun with the whole family!

Jordan back in the water after 2 years and still tearing it up.

Greg's rooster tail... it is so fun to watch him ski, he makes it look so easy.

Somebody was too tired to swim back to the boat and hitched a ride on the back of Greg's kayak.

Meckell enjoying a joy ride around the bay

Thanks Fernandez's for the rides!!!!

Addie heading down the slide. Staying on a house boat is so nice. I've had both experiences, the camp in the sand and the house boat. Let me tell you how nice it is not to have sand in
your food and in your sleeping bag ;-)

Boys out fishing for stripers, small mouth bass, and carp.

Wouldn't be lake powell if there was no wake boarding!!!

Gunner and Tanner were the two most diligent fishermen of the group. They spent hours out in the hot sun searching for the big monster fish to take their bait.

Taylor takes his surfing very serious. j/k, but he is a pro at it and the best kid ever ;-)

My great parents soaking up some sun and relaxing after a very busy summer of baseball and softball games all summer long.

This is my little niece Ellia, who is so cute and loved being out in the water and really enjoyed rocking the kayak back and forth, laughing the whole time. She is soooo darn cute and so fun!

Addie and Hallie loved the kayaks. We had to kick them out to let others have turns.

K, so the day we were leaving we had a little accident and Greg was knocked in the head with a wake board, luckily it wasn't too bad but did require some medical attention.

K, so I know I'm weird but I've always loved medicine and "gross" stuff like this picture. It fascinates me to see all that we can do to help heal the human body. It's just amazing.

It took 10 staples to put his head back together ;-) No worries though he still has enough brain power to finish his dissertation.
